BROOKWOOD IN GEORGETOWN

BiG, established in 2011, is dedicated to creating a God-centered, innovative vocational and residential community for adults with developmental disabilities. They aim to redefine perceptions of this population. Currently, they support 95 Citizens across three campuses in Georgetown and Austin near UT.

Their vocational program addresses a critical need, providing education, training, and support in adaptable, marketable enterprises. Their Citizens, aged 22 to 60+, thrive in this encouraging environment.

Central to their mission is altering perceptions. By offering meaningful work, they empower their Citizens to see themselves differently, fostering pride and purpose. They earn paychecks through selling handmade products, contributing to their program’s success.
